[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Who and Who’s Who were two spotted eagle owls that were confiscated from a local dealer. These chicks were only a few days old on arrival.
Raising them was a very rewarding journey, as not only did we raise them but we had to teach them how to hunt.
Once they were making their own natural kills every few days we knew it was time to let them spread their wings. We used one of our sanctuary release sites where we built a semi permenant enclosure for them to start off in. Once acclimatized and settled we started to let them out for the night, both came back in the morning. We started to stagger our own feeding to push them to start hunting. As time went on they returned home in the morning less and less until the only sightings we had of them was in the evenings when they would swoop down onto the lawns to catch night time critters. Both owls are still resident on the release site.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
