Volunteer Programme

The Experience

For 12 years, Free to Be Wild has been powered by a global family of volunteers. This isn’t just a trip; it’s an immersive invitation to live and work at the center of a high-functioning wildlife rescue. From the early morning calls of our primate troops to the specialized care required for our diverse residents, your hands-on contribution is what keeps our gates open and our animals thriving.

Why Volunteer With Us?

Direct Impact: Work alongside our Head Wildlife Handler, Trust, and our dedicated veterinary team to provide daily care, enrichment, and rehabilitation for 89 animals in recovery.

Professional Growth: Gain unique, real-world experience in wildlife husbandry, emergency stabilization, and the “rehabilitate-to-release” process that has seen over 750 animals returned to the wild.

Secure the Future: Your volunteer fees are a critical revenue stream that supports our animal care and our urgent land acquisition campaign. By joining us, you are helping to buy the very ground you stand on.
