Mongoose Release ~ Moyo

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The release of this little mongoose was always going to be a hit and miss chance that he would ever be accepted into a wild family of banded mongoose.

After living for almost a year at our release site coming and going as he pleased it suddenly dawned on us that the possibility of him never finding his own family would be his fate. Until the day he did not come home. This turned into two weeks of tears, from me as of course! I thought the worst until I was lying on my bed one lunch time and I heard it. The chirping chatter of a mongoose, racing outside faster than I could have believed possible, there was Moyo on the lawn rolling around marking his territory!

He came running up to me which sent me sprawling as his tendencies to bite long over took the ones to give loves. Emmanuel, one of the camp staff, started to track Moyo from here on as I was a complete paranoid mother .

What Emmanuel found made us all extremely happy! Moyo was spending time with a wild family of mongoose on the airstrip, this was truly a miracle!

As time went on, Moyo spent more time away from base camp, the longest was nearly 6 months until he decided it was time to pop back home and let us all know he was still alive healthy and happy. Moyo still stops in to the camp every once in a blue moon just to remind them he is still around and so are his teeth![/vc_column_text][ultimate_carousel slides_on_desk=”2″ slides_on_tabs=”2″ slides_on_mob=”1″][vc_single_image image=”18419″ img_size=”medium”][vc_single_image image=”18420″ img_size=”medium”][vc_single_image image=”18421″ img_size=”medium”][vc_single_image image=”18422″ img_size=”medium”][vc_single_image image=”18423″ img_size=”medium”][vc_single_image image=”18424″ img_size=”medium”][vc_single_image image=”18425″ img_size=”medium”][/ultimate_carousel][/vc_column][/vc_row]
